Position Details

• Salary: $32.53 per hour

Job Duties

• Assist the supervisor in training employees and reviewing property owners and assessment department appraisals for content and accuracy.
• Appraise a wide variety of commercial properties, ranging from small facilities to large office complexes and major commercial retail centers, using all or a combination of the sales, cost, and income comparison approaches to estimate market value.
• Assist the supervisor and senior appraiser in the appraisal of the county’s largest and most complex properties by independently gathering economic data from realty firms, financial institutions, other organizations, and individuals as necessary for use by the supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Four years of commercial appraising experience.
• Possess a Missouri State General Appraisal Certification and be qualified as a supervisor for trainees for appraisal licenses.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Missouri driver’s license.
• Must submit to and pass a pre‑employment background check and drug screen.
