Job description

Overview

Department: Assessment. Grade: 150. Salary: $21.15 per hour. This position is responsible for inspecting and recording property characteristics of commercial, residential, and agricultural properties for revaluation purposes. Mass appraisal data collection training is provided.

Job Duties
  • Inspect and record property characteristics for (re)valuation purposes.
  • Collect, correct, update and maintain property file information.
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions requiring attention to detail.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • At least two years of college and/or five years of general clerical work experience.
  • One year of progressively responsible experience in appraisal, building trades, construction, and/or home sales.
  • One year residential data collection and property measurement preferred.
  • Problem‑solving skills, spatial ability to read maps and locate physical locations, math skills, and ability to work independently.
  • Valid Missouri/Kansas driver’s license, reliable transportation, and insurance.
  • Pass pre‑employment drug and background screening.
