Job summary

American Senior Communities is seeking a Resident Transportation Driver for Zionsville Meadows in Zionsville, IN. This full-time, day-shift role runs Monday–Friday, typically 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with hours potentially fluctuating based on resident appointments and transportation needs.

The driver will transport residents safely to medical appointments, outings, and activities, assist with boarding and wheelchair mobility, and coordinate with the Bethany Village team to ensure timely drops-offs

Qualifications

• Must be at least 25 years of age.
• High school diploma/GED, related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents to and from medical appointments, outings, activities, and other community destinations.
• Assist residents safely on and off the bus, including residents who use wheelchairs or other mobility devices.
• Safely operate wheelchair ramps, lifts, tie-downs, and other transportation equipment.
• Coordinate resident drop-offs and pick-ups with the Bethany Village team.
• Keep the bus clean, fueled, organized, and ready for transportation.
• Complete routine vehicle safety checks and report maintenance or repair needs.
• Assist the Activities team with resident outings, events, and activities as needed.
• Provide a friendly, respectful, and supportive experience for residents while traveling.
