Job summary

American Village, part of American Senior Communities, is seeking a dedicated Bus Driver for day shifts in Indianapolis, IN. The role transports residents to appointments and activities, prioritizing safety and comfort in every trip.

Responsibilities include assisting residents, maintaining safe transportation, and collaborating with the care team to support quality living. A CDL license may be required for larger vehicles; candidates should meet CARE values and have a HS diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Must meet CARE values for residents, families, customers and staff.
• Must be 25 years of age or older and uphold Compassion, Accountability, Relationships and Excellence.
• CDL license required for directories that transport 15+ passengers; good standing Operator’s License.
• High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation to and from appointments and activities for residents.
• Ensure safe and secure travel using ramps, wheelchair tie downs and lifts as needed.
• Create a comforting, calm and engaging atmosphere for residents.
• Collaborate with team to achieve excellent care for residents.
