Job summary

Techno Consult Engineering, PC seeks an experienced Resident Engineer to support a major waterfront infrastructure project in New York City. Responsibilities include overseeing marine/structural/geotechnical work, reviewing submittals, and coordinating with agencies.

10+ years in the field and a PE license are required. The role focuses on safety, schedule, and budget, with flexibility for evenings and occasional local travel.

Qualifications

• PE license and civil engineering degree required.
• 10+ years of Resident Engineer/Construction Management/Inspection experience.
• Experience with marine, waterfront, structural, geotechnical, and heavy civil construction.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily construction activities, inspections, field operations, safety, schedule, budget, and contract compliance.
• Review submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, change orders, pay apps, schedules, and field modifications; ensure QA/QC and safety.
• Coordinate with owner, engineers, contractors, utilities, and agencies to resolve issues and keep projects on track.
• Prepare reports, meeting minutes, inspection records, progress photos, punch lists, and as-builts; assist with closeout documentation.
