Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Marine/Waterfront Engineer to lead the design of shoreline infrastructure for NYC projects. You will work on bulkheads, piers, platforms, and flood-resilient systems as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The role is permanent, hybrid, and based in New York, NY, with NYC relocation support. Opportunities include mentoring junior engineers and advancing a growing marine practice.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in marine, waterfront, structural, or geotechnical engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical Engineering.
• AutoCAD proficiency; Civil 3D/Revit nice to have.
• PE license preferred, or will obtain within 6 months of hiring.
• Strong knowledge of waterfront structures and coastal resiliency.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural and geotechnical design for marine and waterfront infrastructure.
• Manage project delivery from concept through construction.
• Oversee regulatory permitting and interface with public agencies.
• Prepare technical reports, construction documents, and client deliverables.
• Support proposals, change orders, invoicing, and client communications.
