Job summary

Raise is seeking a Senior Reservoir Quality Specialist on behalf of a client in the oil and gas sector. The role focuses on expert evaluation and prediction of reservoir quality across exploration, appraisal, development, and production, integrating petrography, sedimentology, diagenesis, petrophysics, geochemistry and basin history.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in geology, sedimentology, petroleum geology, geochemistry, petrophysics, or a related geoscience discipline.
• 10+ years of relevant oil and gas industry experience across exploration, appraisal, development and production.
• Advanced knowledge of clastic and/or carbonate sedimentology, petrography, diagenesis, and reservoir characterization.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and predict reservoir quality across exploration, appraisal, development, and production activities.
• Characterize reservoir texture, mineralogy, pore systems, depositional facies, and diagenetic evolution.
• Design fit-for-purpose analytical programs including petrography, SEM, XRD, fluid-inclusion, stable isotope analysis, MICP, and other core-based studies.
• Provide technical assurance, manage laboratory programs, and communicate reservoir-quality risks to multidisciplinary teams.
