Job summary

EQV Group in Dallas, TX is seeking a Senior Reservoir Engineer to perform technical evaluations supporting the investment team and portfolio oversight. This role focuses on identifying and quantifying technical risk across upstream acquisitions and translating reservoir data into clear conclusions for decision making.

You will partner with Deal Teams, portfolio management, and consultants, evaluating plays across conventional and unconventional assets in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of reservoir engineering experience, preferably weighted to the U.S. Lower 48.
• Experience with decline curve analysis (DCA), rate and pressure transient analysis (RTA/PTA), volumetrics, recoveries, and fluid behavior.
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Generate and validate forecasts and valuations from interpretation and integration of data.
• Apply reservoir engineering methodologies including DCA, RTA/PTA, volumetrics, recovery and fluid behavior.
• Identify and quantify technical risk across evaluations and reflect full range of outcomes.
• Integrate with Deal Teams to support acquisition and investment decisions.
• Prepare technical reports and present conclusions to stakeholders.
