Job summary

EQV Group is seeking a Senior Reservoir Engineer to perform technical evaluations supporting the investment team and portfolio oversight. This role focuses on identifying technical risks, validating operating assumptions, and translating complex reservoir data into actionable conclusions for deal teams, portfolio management, and investors.

The position is based in Dallas, TX, in-office, and requires 8+ years of experience with comprehensive proficiency in decline curve analysis, RTA/PTA,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • 8+ years of reservoir engineering experience, preferably weighted to the U.S. Lower 48.
  • Experience evaluating plays at various stages of maturity.
  • Reservoir engineering methodologies including DCA, RTA/PTA, volumetrics, recoveries, and fluid behavior.

Responsibilities

  • Technical Evaluation & Forecasting: generate and validate forecasts and valuations from data and analyses.
  • Deal Team Integration & Investment Analysis: support acquisition and investment decisions with technical validation.
  • Portfolio Company & Consultant Management: oversee external resources and share best practices.
