Job summary

Devon Energy in Houston, Texas seeks a Senior Reservoir Engineer to support the Asset Evaluation Team with A&D-focused project evaluations. You will apply reservoir engineering expertise and economic analysis to optimize oil and gas assets, reporting to the Manager of the Asset Evaluation Team and working on-site at Devon's headquarters in Houston.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a closely related field (Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering).
  • Minimum of 10 years in reservoir engineering or related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years in Business Development and significant A&D experience.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with geoscience, drilling, production, and land teams to complete asset evaluations.
  • Conduct discounted cash flow analyses and value assets/companies for A&D opportunities.
  • Perform economic analyses using Excel and ARIES for projects.
  • Gather and interpret large datasets to define reservoir characteristics and build models.
  • Evaluate LOE and operating costs for asset performance alignment.
  • Conduct feasibility studies on assets, acquisitions, and divestitures with recommendations.
  • Perform reserves studies for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Conduct well performance analysis, pressure interpretation, and decline curve evaluations.
  • Maintain data accuracy in technical and economic reporting.
