Responsibilities

  • Head all organization for recruitment efforts for multiple research studies.
  • Perform data collection and analysis.
  • Work closely with participants, graduate students, research technicians, undergraduate research assistants, and other staff to ensure protocols are followed.
  • Assist with ordering and organizing supplies and draft materials for presentations and publications.
  • Screen and schedule participants, including obtaining MRI safety clearance.
  • Manage REDCap data and share databases with other universities.
  • Oversee all safety documentation for staff, including MRI safety, CPR, CITI, PAR-Q, and waivers.

Senior Research Technician
About the Opportunity
Job Summary

The Senior Research Technician will assist with research related tothe work being conducted in the lab. This staff member will managethe schedules and projects of other technicians and undergraduateswithin the lab. They will head recruiting for all studies withinthe lab and create databases to organize recruiting efforts withinthe community. The Senior Research Technician will ensure alleligible participants are screened according to eligibilitycriteria and obtain medical and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)safety clearance for each participant by communicating withdoctors' offices. This technician will have knowledge of how to runall sessions and be capable of performing them independently. Theywill oversee data accountability and ensure data is uploaded to theappropriate databases. The Senior Research Technician will be theprimary contact for all undergraduates within the lab. They willorganize and collect documentation, create schedules for newmembers, and train all undergraduates to assist with multiplestudies.

  • Manage Research Electronic Data Capture (REDCap) data andshared databases with other universities
  • Oversee all safety documentation for staff, including MRIsafety, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), CollaborativeInstitutional Training Initiative (CITI) training, PhysicalActivity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q) documentation, andwaivers
Minimum Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to train and managefellow lab members
  • Organizational skills to monitor recruitment numbers formultiple research studies
  • Enthusiasm for research and a passion for learning laboratorymethods
  • Ability to work independently and cooperatively with others aspart of a team
  • Ability to accurately organize and analyze data generated fromexperiments
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Highly organized and dependable
  • Skilled in the use of technology, including Microsoft Office,statistical processing software, and data collection software
  • Excellent interpersonal, time management, and solution-orientedskills
