Job summary

Work In Biotech is seeking a Research Scientist/Senior Scientist to join the Pharmacology team on-site in San Francisco. You will advance oncology targets and radioligand therapy programs, with emphasis on tumor biology, target expression, mechanism of action, and tumor response.

You will perform bench experiments and collaborate across discovery, radiochemistry, and in vivo pharmacology to drive programs forward.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Biological Science or PhD with industry experience.
• Strong understanding of cancer biology.
• Hands-on experience driving research projects from design through interpretation.
• Laboratory expertise in cellular and molecular biology techniques.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute experiments to characterize oncology targets and programs.
• Understand target biology including expression, localization, and tumor accessibility.
• Develop and optimize in vitro assays for screening of biologics (binding, kinetic, internalization, cytotoxicity).
• Use flow cytometry, fluorescence microscopy, western blot, qPCR, IHC, ELISA for target biology.
• Collaborate with discovery, protein engineering, radiochemistry and in vivo pharmacology teams.
• Interpret data and communicate conclusions in meetings; contribute to go/no-go decisions.
