Job summary

RayzeBio, a Bristol Myers Squibb company based in San Diego, seeks an Associate Scientist, Pharmacology to advance radiopharmaceutical therapies from bench to bedside. You will perform in vivo studies, manage vivarium duties, and collaborate with translational research and medicinal chemistry teams.

The role involves cross-functional work, mentorship from senior scientists, and adherence to radiation safety protocols. Expect possible after-hours support as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with preclinical drug discovery programs is preferred.
• Knowledge of radiation safety protocols is required.
• Experience culturing and expanding cancer cell lines is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute in vivo studies using mouse models to evaluate tumor growth and therapeutic efficacy.
• Perform in vivo procedures: cell culture, implantation, sampling, dosing, and necropsy.
• Analyze data and present findings at team meetings and reviews.
• Work with radioactive materials in strict safety protocols.
• Support lab operations and maintain compliance with GLP and animal welfare guidelines.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to advance program objectives.
• Possibility of working outside standard hours to support critical studies.
