Qualifications

• Five+ years hands-on experience with mouse models including survival surgery and in vivo treatments.
• Experience writing or maintaining IACUC protocols and breeding colonies.
• Proficiency in molecular and histological methods and cell culture.
• Experience training lab personnel in research and safety procedures.
• Strong organization, record-keeping, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform in vivo mouse studies including surgeries and endocrine manipulations.
• Develop and optimize molecular, cellular, and histological methods; prepare data for manuscripts and grants.
• Manage animal protocols, colony breeding, biosafety documentation, and inspections.
• Oversee lab operations, inventory, budgeting, and shared resources.
• Train technicians and students; present at labs meetings and journal clubs.
