Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Research Scientist in Bethesda, MD to support NIH-related objectives through a broad range of immunology and molecular biology techniques. The role includes sequencing, mouse model work, and collaboration across cores with national and international presentations expected.

The candidate will lead independent research projects, supervise documentation for scientific activities, and contribute to papers and manuscripts.

Qualifications

Ph.D. or M.D. in science, medicine, or related field.
Minimum of SIX (6) years of research experience.
Extensive experience in molecular biology, biochemistry, and immunology.
Experience generating knockout mice and working with mouse models.
Experience with next generation sequencing methods and analyses (RNA-seq, scRNA-seq, ChIP-seq, ATAC-seq, Hi-C).
Experience with flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, and metabolomics.
Ability to manage high-priority projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Perform immunology and molecular biology techniques with animal and human cells/tissues.
Conduct biochemical assays, immunoprecipitations, gel electrophoresis, and western blotting.
Perform sequencing techniques and analyses for transcriptomics and epigenetics.
Maintain mouse lines (breeding, genotyping).
Present research at national and international meetings.
Review and draft scientific documents and manage collaborations.
