Altasciences is seeking a study pathologist or peer reviewer to diagnose disease/toxicity and evaluate samples in preclinical toxicology studies. You will perform macroscopic and microscopic tissue evaluations and contribute to study reports.

The role requires a D.V.M. with board certification, at least 5 years in GLP toxicologic pathology, and proficiency in data entry and report writing. The salary range is $170,000 to $210,000 per year, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret technical documents and industry manuals.
• Ability to write advanced reports and correspondence.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Perform macroscopic and microscopic tissue evaluations and interpretation of assigned studies.
• Assist with necropsy supervision and gross pathology interpretation; guide staff for sample collection.
• Write comprehensive report narratives detailing test article effects.
• Enter pathology findings in data capturing system.
• Collaborate with study directors to ensure data is integrated into study reports.
• Provide training, technical guidance, and leadership to laboratory staff.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge in toxicologic pathology and standards.
• May serve as principal investigator for contract pathology work and participate in PWG as observer.

D.V.M. or AVMA ECFVG equivalent
