Job summary

Altasciences is seeking a study pathologist to perform and oversee preclinical toxicology pathology, including macroscopic and microscopic tissue evaluations, necropsy supervision, and comprehensive reporting. The role involves leading laboratory staff and collaborating with study directors to ensure accurate data integration into study reports.

You will maintain up-to-date toxicologic pathology knowledge, provide mentorship, and serve as pathology representative for sponsors as needed.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated D.V.M. degree or AVMA ECFVG equivalent required.
• Diplomate status in ACVP/JCVP/ECVP/RCPath or equivalent preferred.
• Strong documentation and report-writing skills required.

Responsibilities

• Perform macroscopic and microscopic tissue evaluations and interpretation.
• Assist with necropsy supervision and gross pathology interpretation.
• Write comprehensive narratives detailing test article effects.
• Enter pathology findings into data capture systems.
• Provide training and leadership to laboratory staff.
