Job summary

UTMB Health seeks a Sr. Research Operations Manager, ASG III, onsite to oversee post-award grant management and regulatory compliance. You will supervise staff, guide PI interactions, and ensure accurate accounting and reporting across grants.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 8+ years in research administration, and 2+ years in management. Preferred are an advanced degree and relevant certifications. Experience with eRA Commons and grants software is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Eight years of research administration experience.
• Two years of management experience.
• Strong knowledge of federal regulations governing academic medical center research.
• Proficiency with grants accounting and related software.

Responsibilities

• Direct post-award grant management and ensure proper grants accounting.
• Assist PIs with complex proposals and formatting.
• Prepare financial reports by faculty and category.
• Monitor time and effort reporting and certification.
• Meet with faculty to review reports monthly.
• Supervise staff and coordinate related assignments.
• Prepare and monitor monthly/quarterly Time & Effort reports.
• Advise on grant applications, deadlines, and future funds.
• Coordinate IRB/OCR/IACUC/OSP submissions under PI direction.
• Use eRA Commons, eBRAP, proposalCENTRAL for submissions.
