Job summary

Northwestern University in Chicago seeks a supervisor to lead planning, design, and execution of clinical testing in the histocompatibility laboratory, ensuring CLIA, ASHI, CMS compliance, and safety regulations. With guidance from the lab director, you will develop protocols and supervise technologists.

The role includes final review of clinical results for donor-recipient compatibility, on-call weekends, participation in meetings, data QC, and contributing to research projects to expand lab

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science or related field.
• 5 years of experience in molecular biology and/or histocompatibility testing.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes and interprets clinical histocompatibility tests with prioritization based on urgency.
• Performs final review of assigned clinical data.
• Coordinates proficiency testing and QA activities.
• Maintains QC and documentation for instrumentation and reagents.
• Interprets and presents results and prepares charts for presentations.
