Job summary

The University of Houston System seeks a capable Lab Manager in the Department of Communication Disorders to supervise and coordinate personnel, maintain lab operations, and apply effective management techniques. This role oversees multiple laboratories, plans budgets, and secures funding sources for research objectives.

Experience with lab administration and personnel evaluations is essential, with a Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of relevant experience preferred.

  • Operates with considerable latitude for unreviewed action. Reviews and evaluates the effectiveness of personnel.

Description:

Supervises and coordinates the activities of personnel engaged in research and experimental testing. Maintains lab operations. May investigate complaints regarding lab services, equipment, and/or capabilities. Possesses, understands, and applies a comprehensive knowledge in area of specialization. Understands and uses effective management techniques.
