PitchBook Data, a Morningstar company, seeks a Senior Research Intelligence Engineer for the Institutional Research Group in New York. You will help deliver best-in-class reports, data analytics, indexes, and newsletters, shaping how customers invest and analyze private markets.

The role requires deep data engineering, methodology, and cross-functional collaboration. This on-site role emphasizes ownership of data pipelines, product collaboration, and rigorous communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data engineering, data analysis, or data-driven research.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in future.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate PIRG methodology with Platform products and deployments across internal processes and deployments.
• Build and maintain data pipelines and SQL queries/views; optimize queries and pipelines.
• Advise on methodology updates with Data Operations and data cleanups.
• Develop applications for prototyping, internal use, and production use cases.
• Communicate progress and potential roadblocks to stakeholders; work with junior engineers.
