Job summary

PitchBook Data, Inc. seeks an experienced data engineer to join the Editorial team, focusing on PIRG-driven data methodologies. You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Data Operations to build robust pipelines and ensure correct methodology deployment across Platform products.

Qualifications

7+ years of experience in data engineering, data analysis, or data-driven research.
Proficiency in SQL and Python required.
Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

Serve as PIRG liaison to incorporate methodology into Platform products and ensure it is correctly implemented.
Build and maintain data pipelines for PIRG data sources; manage SQL queries/views repository.
Advise on data cleanups and methodology updates with Data Operations.
Develop applications for prototyping, internal use, and production use cases.
Identify and implement initiatives to streamline data analyses and improve delivery to analysts.
Communicate project progress and potential roadblocks to stakeholders.
Mentor junior engineers and support team lead.
Promote company values and participate in initiatives.
