Job summary

PitchBook, a Morningstar company, seeks a Senior Research Intelligence Engineer for the Institutional Research Group to manage data products, build pipelines, and deliver timely reports and dashboards for investors and analysts.

You will partner with Product, Engineering, and Data Operations, design efficient data programs, and mentor junior engineers while upholding the company’s culture of collaboration and excellence.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering, data analysis, or data-driven research.
• Demonstrated proficiency in SQL and Python required.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the key point of contact between PIRG, Product, and Dev teams to implement methodology in Platform products.
• Research, build, and maintain data pipelines for PIRG sources and non-native data sources.
• Advise on methodology updates and data cleanups with Data Operations.
• Develop and deploy applications for prototyping and production use cases.
• Identify initiatives to streamline analyses and improve data delivery to analysts.
• Maintain timely communication with stakeholders regarding methodologies and progress.
