Job summary

Awetomaton seeks a Senior Research Engineer to support Wright‑Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio. You will collaborate with a small team to enhance R&D algorithms, deriving insights from raw sensor data using Python and imagery science.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s degree and 7–12 years in image processing (OPIR), plus strong software engineering experience, containerization, Git workflows, and a current Top Secret clearance; start planned September 2026 with on-site work at WPAFB.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an Engineering discipline.
• 7+ years in an image processing focused engineering career (Electrical Engineering, Computer Vision, etc.).
• 5+ years of Python experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize image processing algorithms for OPIR data.
