Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience conducting data management, cleaning, and analysis using original survey data.
• Strong statistical analysis skills and ability to interpret results clearly.
• Ability to develop analytic plans and document methods for research projects.
• Ability to work independently with messy data and resolve data quality issues.
• Experience merging datasets from diverse sources and assessing representativeness.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for reports and publications.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development of research questions, study designs, and analytic plans.
• Manage survey data cleaning and preparation, including QA protocols and documentation.
• Develop, test, and refine surveys ensuring alignment with research questions.
• Work with messy data, resolve quality issues, and produce defensible analytic datasets.
• Acquire and analyze raw datasets from state agencies and national sources; merge and prepare for analysis.
• Interpret data, select appropriate tests, analyze results, and provide ongoing reports.
• Contribute to writing and publication of policy-relevant research findings.
