Qualifications

• Master’s degree in research methods, statistics, or a related field plus 2–3 years of experience or a Bachelor’s degree plus 3–5 years of relevant quantitative experience.
• Experience with a variety of inferential statistical techniques and research methods including data cleaning, missing data management, analyses of categorical and continuous data, and quasi-experimental designs.
• Experience with managing, cleaning, and analyzing secondary and/or administrative data (e.g., NSECE, ACS, state ECE workforce data, Medicaid claims).
• Proficiency with statistical software such as Stata or R.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (advanced) and data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, ggplot2, Shiny.
• Excellent writing skills for policy audiences and technical reports.
• Strong task management and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently and take direction.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple quantitative research and evaluation projects as a task leader or analyst.
• Contribute to reports, briefs, and memos independently and with a team.
• Manage quantitative analysis plans from data cleaning to final results with timelines and budgets.
• Assist in designing data collection protocols and contribute to data management documentation.
• Present findings to clients and stakeholders in public forums.
• Supervise research assistants and support staff as needed.
• Contribute to communications and dissemination efforts.
