Job summary

UC Irvine in Irvine is seeking a seasoned Contracts & Grants Administrator to develop and oversee research proposals, awards and related records. You will prepare complex budgets and support documents for proposal submissions, while ensuring compliance with sponsor guidelines.

You will guide PIs and department staff on financial and regulatory requirements, manage high volumes of transactions, and contribute to multi-funder funding opportunities in a collaborative academic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related area or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of federal and non-federal sponsors in research administration.
• Ability to manage large volumes of transactions and complex budgets.
• Proficient with spreadsheet and database financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee contract and grant proposals, awards, and related records.
• Prepare complex budgets and supporting documents for proposals.
• Provide guidance on compliance regulations to principal investigators and administrators.
• Support PIs budget preparation across multiple funding opportunities and projects.
