Job summary

VCU’s Office of the Vice President for Research & Innovation seeks a Senior Contract Reviewer to expertly review, draft, negotiate, and execute complex research agreements. You will act as the primary contracting resource, ensuring compliance with university policies and regulator expectations while mitigating risk.

You will support study activation, collaboration with internal offices, and mentorship of junior staff within a fully remote, nationally distributed team.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to analyze, interpret, and apply regulatory and contractual requirements.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and oral communication with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Lead review, drafting, and negotiation of high-complexity research agreements.
• Oversee internal documentation, budget submissions, and contract exhibits for compliance.
• Provide guidance to faculty and staff on regulatory and contractual obligations.
