Job summary

Attain Partners is seeking a Senior Consultant to lead research contract negotiations for our education, nonprofit, healthcare, and government clients. The role emphasizes drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex agreements to support research missions.

You will work with faculty, investigators, and staff to align project needs with regulatory requirements, while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Remote-friendly US-based position with discretionary bonus eligibility.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in research contract negotiation.
• Working knowledge of research compliance issues (human subjects, export controls, HIPAA, FCOI, data security, etc.).
• Strong negotiation, communication, and writing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate research-related agreements, including federal grants, subawards, data use, confidentiality, MTAs, and sponsored research.
• Ensure contract terms comply with institutional policies, regulations, and funding agency requirements.
• Identify and mitigate legal, financial, compliance, and intellectual property risks.
• Collaborate with faculty, researchers, and administrators to understand project needs and explain contractual requirements.
• Adhere to established service levels, including updating the system of record.
