Role Overview

BEPC is seeking an experienced Senior Research Associate to support our client's Personalized Healthcare Solutions organization in Tucson, Arizona. This is an onsite laboratory-based opportunity for a scientific professional with strong experimental, analytical, and problem-solving experience.

The Senior Research Associate will conduct research, development, and laboratory experimentation supporting diagnostic and personalized healthcare initiatives. This individual will independently design and execute experiments, analyze and interpret data, troubleshoot complex technical issues, prepare scientific documentation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and 6–8 years of relevant post-college experience. Candidates outside the required experience range should not apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Design experimental plans that support project objectives and scientific strategies.
• Execute bench experiments, make detailed observations, analyze data, and interpret experimental results.
• Prepare technical reports, experimental summaries, protocols, and quantitative analyses.
• Maintain complete and accurate laboratory records, documentation, and electronic files.
• Independently develop methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
• Identify and implement improvements to laboratory processes and the overall work environment.
• Apply a broad range of experimental techniques to complex research and development activities.
• Troubleshoot technical and experimental problems and implement appropriate corrective actions.
• Participate in or lead cross-functional technical teams, including failure investigations and core project teams.
• Present experimental procedures, findings, and recommendations to project and technical teams.
• Collaborate across organizational groups and contribute creative solutions to project challenges.
• Train team members in areas of scientific and technical expertise.
• Support laboratory operations and potentially provide guidance to junior personnel.
• Identify research activities with potential for publication and/or intellectual property development.
• Maintain familiarity with relevant scientific literature and emerging developments.
• Follow applicable GMP, GLP, Design Control, quality, and organizational procedures.
• Monitor work for quality and consistently promote a Quality First Time approach.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline; Life Sciences preferred.
• 6–8 years of relevant post-college professional experience.
• Broad knowledge of experimental techniques with demonstrated skill in their practical application.
• Ability to work independently and determine appropriate methods and procedures for new assignments.
• Experience designing experiments, executing bench work, analyzing data, and interpreting results.
• Strong scientific troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to search and interpret scientific literature for general and project-specific information.
• Experience preparing technical reports, protocols, summaries, and scientific presentations.
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, graphical tools, and presentation software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary and cross-functional teams.

Education/Experience Alternative

A Master's degree may be considered with approximately 1–3 years of relevant experience, based on the requirements provided for this position.
