BEPC is actively seeking a Research Associate I – CDx Pharma Services – Assay Development to join our client’s Tucson, AZ site. The role supports development of early-phase assays prior to transfer to CAP/CLIA labs for clinical trials, with on-site work required.

The position involves experimental work, data processing, and collaboration within the PHCS group, along with adherence to GMP/GLP and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of relevant laboratory or industry experience.
• Customer-facing experience to manage client interactions.
• Basic computational biology skills, including reading code and running scripts.

Responsibilities

• Conduct R&D and manufacturing laboratory experiments to support projects.
• Apply technical expertise to design, execute, and interpret experiments.
• Prepare technical reports, summaries, protocols, and quantitative analyses.
• Present experimental results within the department and project team.
• Maintain professionalism through familiarity with scientific literature and conferences.
• Adhere to GMP, GLP, Design Control, and regulatory standards as appropriate.
• Maintain complete and accurate laboratory documentation and electronic files.
• Act as principal investigator in conducting own experiments as required.
• Assist team members with basic computational biology tasks, including scripts and reading code.

W2 Contract – 6 months with possible extensions!

Pay Rate: $24.00 - $27.00/hour - Determined based on experience (Paid Weekly)

Work Model: This is a fully onsite position.

1–2 years of relevant laboratory or industry experience

Interview Process: Initial 15-minute video screening followed by an onsite panel interview

Summary of the Role:

BEPC is seeking a highly motivated Research Associate I – CDx Pharma Services – Assay Development to join our client’s site in Tucson, AZ. This role will support an independent team within the PHCS group focused on developing early-phase assays prior to transferring them to CAP/CLIA-certified laboratories for clinical trials.

This position supports laboratory experimentation, scientific activities, manufacturing procedures, and computational data processing.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct research, development, and manufacturing laboratory experimentation and other scientific activities to support projects.
• Exercise technical expertise and discretion in the design, execution, and interpretation of experiments that contribute to project strategies.
• Prepare technical reports, summaries, protocols, and quantitative analyses.
• Present and discuss experimental results within the department and project team.
• Maintain a high level of professional expertise through familiarity with scientific literature, with opportunities to participate in conferences and professional societies.
• Follow company policies and procedures for GMP, GLP, Design Control, and other regulatory standards as appropriate.
• Maintain complete and accurate laboratory documentation and electronic files.
• Act as principal investigator in conducting own experiments as required.
• Assist team members with basic computational biology tasks, including executing scripts and reading code to distribute workload demands.

Main Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific field..
• Experience: 1–2 years of relevant laboratory or industry experience.
• Customer Service Experience: Demonstrated customer-facing experience, such as retail, restaurant, or service industry, to effectively manage client interactions and challenging situations.
• Candidates possessing a Master’s degree, PhD, or more than 2 years of relevant experience are considered overqualified for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Basic computational biology skills, including familiarity with reading code and running scripts.
