The position is 100% lab-based onsite in West Point, PA, with a requirement for a BS/BA (6 years) or MS, or PhD with hands-on experience.

Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for anSenior Research Associate (Infectious Disease / Virology)to join our pharmaceutical client in West Point, PA. This is a 12-month contract to start with the potential for extensions.

Pay:

$37.00 - $47.41/hr;W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment.Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.

Overall Responsibilities:

We are seeking a contractor to join the Infectious Disease and Vaccines department in the vaccines group.

The overarching goal of the group is to test pre-clinical vaccine candidates in animal models to help advance our viral vaccine programs.

The contractor will be responsible for running ELISAs, viral plaque reduction assays, serum neutralization assays, generating viral stocks, managing internal, external shipments, sample inventory and overall laboratory support.

Required Education:

(Minimum degree required and Maximum degree accepted)

Minimum degree:

• BS/BA 6years; MS-4years in a biological science related major.

Maximum degree:

• PHD with atleast 1year of hands on expertise with required skill set is must.

Years of experience required for the role:

• At least 3 years performing laboratory research outside of degree.

Required skills:

• Virological assay support, tissue/cell culture and ELISAs.

Preferred Skills:

• GraphPad Prism, Electronic lab notebook

Personality:

• Detail oriented
• Great work ethic
• Excellent communication skills.
• Critical thinking: able to evaluate results and troubleshoot issues.

Note:

• This is 100% lab based onsite role.
• Candidate should be fine with Blood borne pathogens titer screening after the assignment has started. Client will be performing the titer test.
