Job summary

AllSTEM Connections seeks an Infectious Disease Scientist - II for a 12-month+ onsite assignment in West Point, PA. The contractor will join the Infectious Disease and Vaccines group to support virology assays and vaccine programs.

Requirements include a BS/BA with 6 years, MS with 4 years, or PhD with 1 year hands-on experience, plus at least 3 years of lab experience and ability to work onsite with bloodborne pathogen screening considerations.

Qualifications

• PhD with at least 1 year hands-on experience with required skill set is must.
• At least 3 years performing laboratory research outside of degree.

Responsibilities

• Run ELISAs, viral plaque reduction assays, and serum neutralization assays.
• Generate viral stocks and manage internal/external shipments and sample inventory.
• Provide overall laboratory support for the Infectious Disease and Vaccines group.
• Support pre-clinical vaccine programs using targeted virology assays.

• Maximum degree: PHD with atleast 1year of hands-on expertise with required skill set is must.

Years of experience required for the role:

GraphPad Prism, Electronic lab notebook

Note:

• This is 100% lab based onsite role.
• Candidate should be fine with Blood borne pathogens titer screening after the assignment has started. Merck will be performing the titer test.

Overall Responsibilities:

We are seeking a contractor to join the Infectious Disease and Vaccines department in the vaccines group.

• The overarching goal of the group is to test pre-clinical vaccine candidates in animal models to help advance our viral vaccine programs.
• The contractor will be responsible for running ELISAs, viral plaque reduction assays, serum neutralization assays, generating viral stocks, managing internal, external shipments, sample inventory and overall laboratory support.

Special note:

candidates with viral propagation, titering, neutralization and ELISA experience.
