Senior Research Associate, Genetic Pharmacology

This role involves developing analytical tools, data management systems, and contributing to bioinformatics pipelines for preclinical Oncology research. The position focuses on translating genetic insights into targeted cancer therapies within the Genetic Pharmacology group.

Duties include:

1. Conducting QC and analytics of various NGS data types.
2. Developing computational and statistical approaches for oncology biomarker discovery and therapy response prediction.
3. Collaborating to curate, integrate, and visualize datasets.
4. Building and maintaining bioinformatics pipelines.
5. Creating data visualization and analysis tools.
6. Leveraging LIMS systems like Benchling for experiment tracking.
7. Participating in digital transformation and data governance initiatives.
8. Communicating with stakeholders to identify data needs.
9. Managing analytics projects.

Qualifications:

• MS in a quantitative field with 1+ years of post-grad oncology experience, or a Bachelor's with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Python and R.
• Experience in web app development (RShiny, Dash).
• Knowledge of biological software (Benchling, DNAnexus, Rosalind).
• Ability to integrate large biological datasets.
• Strong communication skills.

Preferred:

• Experience with data modeling and Benchling LIMS.
• Knowledge of biomarker discovery and cancer biology datasets.
