Rutgers University in New Jersey seeks a Research Associate III in the Biochemistry & Molecular Biology department at RWJ Medical School to perform technical research on polymerases, helicases, and proteases under a faculty supervisor.

The role includes protein-ligand interaction work, protein purification, and coordination of analytical tasks with clinical and research areas; training students and staff as needed.

Qualifications

• Master's degree plus 1 year of related research, or Bachelor's degree plus 2 years in related areas.
• Proficiency in MS Office and strong written/spoken communication.
• Experience with stopped-flow kinetics, Biolayer interferometry, and protein purification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical research on polymerases, helicases, and proteases under faculty supervision.
• Coordinates analytical, biochemical, physiology and instrumentation functions with clinical and research areas.
• Develops performance standards and methodologies for experiments.
• Assists in training students, fellows, and other lab staff.
• Evaluates procedures and proposes updates based on literature.
