Core Job Function

We are seeking a scientist with in vivo skills to support the discovery and development of new drugs targeting a variety of oncology indications, mostly solid tumors. Ideal candidates must be skilled in animal handling (mice) including drug administration by multiple routes, tumor implanting and tissue harvesting. Additional experience with in vitro techniques such as cell culture, cell isolation, Mesoscale, Nanostring, IHC, Western Blot, and qPCR are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform routine animal experimental procedures, e.g., gavage, subcutaneous/intraperitoneal/intravenous injections, blood collection, surgical assistance, anesthesia monitoring, dissection, and tissue sample collection.
• Follow SOPs for in vivo pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetic studies, and disease model development.
• Record experimental data accurately and perform preliminary analysis.
• Assist senior researchers in conducting complex experiments and help optimize experimental methods.
• Observe animal ethics and welfare standards, ensuring compliance with AAALAC, GLP, and other regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Immunology, Cell Biology, Cancer Biology, or Molecular Biology with at least 2 years of experience, or master’s degree with 1 year of experience (Cancer Biology favored).
• Experience with in vivo tumor models: tumor volume measurement, drug dosing via various routes, injection, blood and tissue collection and processing.
• Experience with cell culture, isolation of primary cells, and cellular assays.
• Experience with ELISA, MSD, Western blot, immunohistochemistry, etc. preferred.
• Data analysis skills and experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, GraphPad Prism required.

Additional Information

This role requires a 8-5 schedule with some flexibility and may include weekend work. It is 100% onsite.
