Job summary

A leading pharmaceutical company in San Diego is seeking a highly motivated contract Research Associate to conduct in vivo studies in mice. The ideal candidate should have a BS or MS degree in a life science and at least two years of hands-on laboratory experience. Responsibilities include necropsy and tissue sample collection as well as proficiency in animal handling and data documentation. A flexible working schedule is required, including late shifts and weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on laboratory experience in small animal experimentation.
• Experience with xenografts and immunocompromised mice.
• Proficient in live animal surgery and basic tissue culture techniques.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in vivo studies in mice.

Job description

We
are seeking a highly motivated contract Research Associate with strong
interpersonal communication skills to conduct in vivo studies in mice at our In
Vivo oncology Pharmacology group in a large pharmaceutical company in La Jolla
( San Diego CA). This is a great opportunity to learn drug discovery and
industrial experiences.

Requirements:

ALAT/ALATg,
or BS, MS degree in a life science with minimum 2 years of hands on laboratory
experience in small animal experimentation.

Proficient
in handling mice

Necropsy,
collection of various tissue samples for analysis.

Experience
with xenografts and immunocompromised mice

Live
animal surgery and basic tissue culture technics a plus.

Proficient
in data collection/documentation, either in electronic or hardcopy forms.

Highly
organized, detail oriented, a team player, enthusiastic about drug discovery,
and a strong communicator with strong work ethics. Candidate need to be able to
work independently with minimum to no supervision.

This
position requires flexible working hours: A regular 5 day work week will
include and require: late shift and include Sat/Sun. BID dosing schedules are
central to the position
