Job summary

Innova Solutions is hiring a Senior Research Associate in San Diego, CA, for a 12-month contract. The role focuses on developing cell-based assays and MoA studies to support identification and optimization of novel compounds.

The candidate will design experiments, generate cell lines, and collaborate to analyze data. Ideal applicants have a biology degree with 2+ years of relevant experience or a master's with 1+ year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biology or related with 2+ years of experience or Master's with 1+ year experience.
• Sterile technique in mammalian cell culture required.
• Experience with transfection, lentiviral transduction, CRISPR knockouts or shRNA is a plus.
• Hands-on assay development or troubleshooting in listed techniques.

Responsibilities

Innova Solutions has a client that is immediately hiring for a Senior Research Associate.

Position type: Full-time- Contract Duration: 12 Months Location: San Diego, CA

As a Senior Research Associate you will:

• Develop and implement cell-based assays to support the identification, optimization, and characterization of novel compounds.
• Develop and construct cell lines and tools for mechanism of action (MoA) studies.
• Design and execute experiments using expertise in cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry and assay development to support MoA studies
• Execute routine assays in a consistent and timely manner
• Document, analyze, and present data in an organized and timely manner

The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor's degree in biology or related disciplines with 2+ year of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 1+ year of experience
• Excellent sterile technique in mammalian cell culture with at least 1 year of experience is required.
• Experience with transfection, lentiviral transduction, CRISPR knockouts, and shRNA knockdowns is a plus.
• Deep understanding with hands-on assay development or troubleshooting experience in at least one of the following techniques:
  • Western blotting
  • RNA isolation and QPCR
  • Protein-protein interaction assays
  • Cell proliferation, viability, cell cycle, or cell death assays
  • Multicolor flow cytometry.
• Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and GraphPad Prism.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:

Pay Range*: $40 - $47.85 per hour
