Shield AI is seeking a seasoned Requirements Engineer to join the Hivemind Platform Team. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with approximately 7+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s with 5+ years in systems engineering or related fields.
• Experience generating product and test requirements for software products; familiarity with C++17 or later, Python, Go.
• Working knowledge of DOORS, Jama, or Jira.
• Strong robotics and autonomy concepts understanding.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, automated testing, configuration management, and software lifecycle processes.
• Familiarity with V-model development and lifecycle traceability.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics, and interfaces.
• Experience with Cameo Systems Modeler and SysML for system modeling.
• Comfortable in a Linux development environment.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Translate high-level customer requests into clear, detailed requirements aligned with product vision and roadmap.
• Identify dependencies, constraints, edge cases, and risks; ensure feasibility and testability.
• Author clear documentation, acceptance criteria, traceability links, and system models.
• Collaborate with QA, development, and test teams to verify requirements are implemented correctly.
• Manage requirements throughout the development lifecycle and document changes.
• Serve as the integration point between customer intent and engineering execution.
• Support system modeling with Cameo and SysML to align requirements with architecture.
