Job summary

Fabick Cat is seeking a Rental Shop Technician to inspect, service and maintain rental Caterpillar machinery and aerial equipment, ensuring optimal performance, safety and readiness for customer use. This role involves routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and preparing equipment for rental or return.

You will perform test/calibration, quality checks, and stay current with Cat equipment bulletins and manuals in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
• Diesel mechanic certifications desirable; MSHA preferred.
• 2–5 years experience with Caterpillar equipment and aerial gear.
• Strong troubleshooting in diesel, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Good communication and teamwork in a shop setting.

Responsibilities

• Shop maintenance and repair of Cat equipment and aerial gear.
• Research repair needs and order parts as needed.
• Test and calibrate equipment components for peak performance.
• Quality inspections to ensure manufacturer standards.
• Training to stay updated on Cat equipment and manuals.
