Job summary

Fabick Cat is seeking a Rental Shop Technician to inspect, service, and maintain Cat machinery and aerial equipment for ready-to-rent units. You will perform diagnostics, repairs, and component testing in our shop, ensuring safety and reliability for customers.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of Caterpillar equipment experience, strong troubleshooting and communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced shop environment with occasional travel. MSHA certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
• MSHA certification is a plus; relevant diesel and Cat equipment experience desired.
• 2–5 years of proven Caterpillar/equipment tech experience required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service, and maintain Cat and aerial equipment in shop.
• Perform troubleshooting and repairs; order parts as needed.
• Test and calibrate components; ensure safety and readiness for rental.
• Document work and ensure adherence to standards.
