Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
• 2–5 years in troubleshooting heavy equipment; Caterpillar experience preferred.
• Experience diagnosing electronics, hydraulics, powertrain, and engines.
• MSHA certification desirable or able to obtain.
• Ability to read schematics.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose repair needs and perform repairs on Caterpillar equipment.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and machine upkeep.
• Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electronics, hydraulics, powertrain.
• Disassemble/assemble components per manufacturer specs.
• Load/unload equipment; follow OSHA safety rules.
• Order parts as needed.
• Maintain organization in a fast-paced environment.
