Job summary

EDP Renewables is seeking a Renewables Performance Senior Specialist to monitor and diagnose long-term issues across wind, solar, and storage assets. You will coordinate with Engineered teams and assets operations, building BI reports and dashboards to drive value and performance.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in renewables, strong English, and experience with SQL, Python, R, Power BI, and cloud analytics. Hybrid work model with ~10% travel, based in the Houston area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Science, Data Engineering or STEM.
• 1–3 years’ work experience, preferably in renewable energy.
• High level of English; Spanish/Portuguese helpful.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Programming experience with SQL, Python, or R.
• Knowledge in Power BI programming.
• Experience with big data analytics and cloud computing.
• Azure & Data Bricks, Tableau.

Responsibilities

• Identify the main drivers contributing to underperformance in EDPR assets.
• Develop new indicators and methods for long-term detection.
• Create BI reports to support monitoring efforts.
• Manage detected issues and track resolution.
• Quality control of performance datasets against sources.
• Maintain relationships with Asset Managers and site managers.
• Conduct performance meetings with Field Operations.
• Work as part of a global team improving capabilities.
• Perform ad hoc analysis for Field operations or other departments.
• Program queries in SQL, PI, Azure databases and Databricks.
• Additional duties as required.
