Job summary

Eurofins USA Consumer Product Testing in Littleton, MA, seeks a Senior Product Safety Engineer, Renewable Energy. You will evaluate conformance of inverters, battery energy storage systems, EV equipment and other power generation gear to industry standards, write test plans, and witness testing on site at customer facilities.

The role requires 5+ years in electrical engineering, deep knowledge of safety standards (ANSI/CSA/UL/EN/IEC/IEEE), and willingness to travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with 5+ years of experience (or master's with 4+ years).
• Extensive hands-on experience with utility-interactive inverters, battery energy storage systems, EV switchgear and/or power conversion equipment.
• Demonstrated experience with U.S., Canadian and international product safety standards (ANSI, CSA, UL, EN, IEC, IEEE).

Responsibilities

• Independently conduct evaluations of equipment to determine compliance with applicable standards.
• Plan, coordinate and execute project work and keep the client informed.
• Read schematics and manufacturing instructions; validate scope and sample applicability.
• Identify and locate test instruments and equipment required for testing.
• Set up and operate test equipment and document results.
• Develop test plans and perform core safety tests (rating, leakage, dielectric, temperature, pressure).
• Travel to customer sites for testing and data acceptance program audits.
