Job summary

Eurofins is seeking a Senior Product Safety Engineer for Renewable Energy to provide engineering expertise evaluating conformance of inverters, battery energy storage systems and EV equipment to industry standards. The role includes on-site testing at customer facilities, creating reports and test plans, and supporting cross-training within the Renewable Energy team.

Candidates will collaborate with clients, prepare quotes, and conduct tests per ANSI/UL/CSA/EN/IEC/IEEE standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering; 5+ years of experience in the field.
• 5+ years hands-on experience with utility-interactive inverters, battery energy storage systems, EV switchgear or similar power conversion equipment.
• Experience with US/Canadian/international standards (ANSI/UL/CSA/EN/IEC/IEEE).
• Prior experience at a TIC/NRTL lab preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently conduct equipment evaluations for standards compliance.
• Plan, coordinate and execute testing projects and keep clients informed.
• Read schematics and manufacturing instructions; develop test plans and perform tests.
• Travel to customer sites for on-site testing and audits as required.
