Job summary

Environmental Resources Management (ERM) seeks a Managing Consultant, Renewable Energy, Project Management, Senior Biologist to lead permitting and environmental review efforts for utility-scale solar, BESS, wind, and transmission in the Pacific Northwest. Portland or Seattle locations offered.

You will direct multidisciplinary teams, manage project scope and budgets, and coordinate with regulators to achieve timely approvals while delivering high-quality environmental solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in environmental science, biology, natural resources, anthropology, or related discipline, or 8 years of equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience managing environmental permitting, land use planning, or infrastructure development projects, preferably renewables.
• Experience preparing land use permit applications and supporting local government approval processes.
• Project management experience with scope, budgets, schedules, resources, and client communications.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Project Manager for renewable energy permitting projects in Oregon and Washington.
• Manage EFSC/EFSEC, county and municipal permitting processes.
• Lead project execution from proposal to regulatory approvals.
• Oversee task delegation, interdisciplinary coordination, subcontractor management, QA/QC.
• Identify risks and develop practical solutions to maintain schedules and budgets.
• Be primary client contact and coordinate with regulators and stakeholders.
