Job summary

Madison Gas and Electric Company (MGE) is seeking an experienced Engineer to join our Energy Production department. The Engineer Renewable Engineering will develop, manage, and maintain our fleet of utility-scale renewable generation sites, supporting the company's net-zero by 2050 goal.

Responsibilities include coordinating with contractors, designing SCADA and interconnection facilities, evaluating new projects, and ensuring regulatory approvals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of electrical power systems engineering experience.
• Experience coordinating multi-discipline project teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage contractors through design, engineering, and construction phases of renewable projects.
• Develops work breakdown structures to integrate MGE tasks into schedules.
• Coordinate internal resources with contractors and subcontractors.
• Design and construct SCADA and communications for renewable projects.
• Provide technical support for regulatory reviews and permit approvals.
• Oversee O&M contracts and maintenance programs.
