Job summary

Avangrid Power is seeking a high-performing development professional to originate, lead, and advance utility-scale solar, wind, and battery energy storage projects across ERCOT in Texas. This senior role requires independence, strong stakeholder engagement, and the ability to drive projects from concept to construction readiness.

You will secure site control, navigate regulatory and land agreements, and shape development strategies while collaborating with internal teams and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 5-7+ years in utility-scale renewable energy, energy storage or related development roles.
• Experience securing site control and advancing projects through development milestones.
• Strong understanding of ERCOT market fundamentals and project economics.

Responsibilities

• Lead origination and greenfield development of utility-scale solar, wind, and storage projects across ERCOT.
• Develop market-based origination strategies and identify high-potential corridors.
• Negotiate leases, options, easements, and land agreements; represent Avangrid Power in high-impact negotiations.
• Coordinate permitting, interconnection, commercial strategy, title, surveys, and real estate diligence.
• Support acquisitions, joint ventures, and development partnerships; present recommendations to leadership.
