Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation seeks a Remote Sensing Architecture Performance Engineer to perform performance modeling for space-based remote sensing architectures. This onsite role is based in Chantilly, VA, with options at El Segundo, CA or Colorado locations, requiring 100% onsite work and active collaboration with senior staff and customers.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in aerospace engineering, physics, operations research, mathematics, or a related field.
• 5 years of relevant educational, professional, and/or technical work experience post bachelor’s degree in modeling & simulation, mission analysis, astrodynamics, or space operations.
• Security clearance eligibility; U.S. citizenship required to obtain TS/SCI.
• Proficiency with Python, C/C++, and/or Linux/HPC environments.

Responsibilities

• Support analysis in mission areas such as geo-spatial intelligence, space surveillance, navigation systems, and space protection.
• Perform architecture evaluation modeling for overall performance using in-house or custom tools.
• Develop and deliver timely, technically accurate presentations and reports communicating analysis results and recommendations.
