Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies seeks an experienced Platform Reliability Engineer to ensure availability, performance, and operational excellence of large-scale distributed systems in production. You will apply software engineering to infrastructure and operations to improve reliability.

Responsibilities include defining SLOs/SLIs, leading incident response, building robust monitoring, and automating toil with Python/Go. You’ll operate Kubernetes clusters and drive CI/CD improvements.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of SRE/DevOps experience in large-scale environments.
• Strong programming in Python, Go, or Java for automation.
• Hands-on Linux administration at scale and networking skills.
• Experience operating Kubernetes and container workloads.
• Familiar with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK/EFK).
• Experience designing CI/CD pipelines and incident post-mortems.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
• Ability to mentor teams on reliability practices.

Responsibilities

• Define, instrument, and refine SLOs/SLIs and error budgets.
• Lead incident response and post-incident reviews.
• Design monitoring, logging, and tracing strategies.
• Build on-call processes and runbooks with sensible escalation.
• Automate operational toil using Python/Go/Bash.
• Operate large Kubernetes clusters and related workloads.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines with testing, canaries, and rollouts.
• Collaborate with development teams to embed reliability early.
